The
Compass Rose is situated in the entrance to the Bay of Fundy on Grand Manan Island,
New Brunswick, Canada.
Access to Grand Manan Island is via ferry from Black's Harbour, New Brunswick. Black's Harbour is located just off Highway 1 about 30 minutes drive east of the international border of Calais/St. Stephen. The ferry crossing is 35 km and takes about 90 minutes. The journey can be quite spectacular with seals, porpoises, and whales often sighted along the way. For detailed information on the ferry service please contact Coastal Transport at 506-636-3922. The ferry schedule is also available on the Coastal Transport website. When planning to meet the ferry remember that New Brunswick is in the Atlantic time zone, one hour ahead of the Eastern time zone! Once you reach the island, the Compass Rose is not far. Turn left off the ferry road, and look for us on the left hand side after less than 1 km. |
